Some women friends of mine will get all upset if their husbands don’t notice when they get a new outfit; lose 1/4 lb. or get one hundredths of a millimeter cut off their hair. I’m not that kind of wife.
HOWEVER…
Two days passed and my husband didn’t notice. 2 days.
Once again:
Eight inches of hair is gone from my head.
Mark didn’t even notice. I got tired of doing the slow-mo flip my head around like a calendar girl on the beach thing and gave up.
“Mark?”
“Yeah?”
“Notice anything?”
“Uh…(scans me up and down)…you got your toenails done, right?”
“Cold. Look higher.”
“You lost weight?”
“Nope, gained. But nicely played. Try again.”
“uuhhhh….”
“I GOT 8 INCHES OF BRIGHT RED HAIR CUT OFF MY HEAD !!!”
“Oh, yeah…it looks really….”
“Don’t even try it.”

Sorry, I flipped through the pictures a few times and it didn’t register to me either . . . and I’m not a man. Just an unobservent person. Sometimes it takes me a long time to notice simple things. And men, especially husbands, as a species, just don’t notice much!
